The European Actuarial Academy (EAA GmbH) was founded on the 29th
of August 2005 in Cologne / Germany. This completely new vocational
training institute for actuarial education - an initiative of the
actuarial associations of Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and
Switzerland - is a response to the increasing demand for an actuarial
education on a very high international level of the central and
eastern European countries. The EAA strives to become the European
knowledge centre for actuaries. Objectives of the EAA are: offering
vocational training for future actuaries (also including elearning),
the corresponding exams and advanced training for actuaries in Central
and Eastern Europe and to give permanent training for actuaries
in the associate countries and in central and eastern Europe. The
EAA also offers to consultant actuarial association in this countries
on actuarial education.
The office of the EAA - European Actuarial Academy GmbH is located in Cologne / Germany. The management team consists of 4 managing directors, namely Jeroen Breen (NL), Peter Prieler (A), Michael Steinmetz (D) and Holger Walz.
